Which Platform is More Effective for Video Advertisements?

Everyone really wants a one-and-done answer when it comes to social media, but there are always so many factors at play, that the answer almost always is – it depends. In this case, it really depends on your target audience. If you work in mostly the B2B space it might make more sense to test out video advertisements on LinkedIn since most of your audience is more active there. However, if you are more of a B2C company then Facebook can be a great place for video advertisements due to the large user audience. There is one catch however, you must be sure to upload your video directly to Facebook because you cannot boost a YouTube link. Once you upload to to Facebook, you can then boost it directly from your page.

What is a Good ROI?

First, let’s define what ROI even is. ROI is Return on Investment, but it is easily misunderstood because it includes the advertisements themselves AND any fees associated to have someone run them. A more accurate depiction of this data is ROAS- Return on Ad Spend. Now, to give you a ballpark answer the ratio of return you should be looking for can be anywhere from 1:1 to 4:1. That means, if you spend one dollar on advertisements, that should turn into one dollar of revenue. It all depends on the type of customer you are after. If your customer has a very large lifelong value, then it is more realistic to spend 4 times the amount on advertisements to acquire said customer. On the other hand, if you are a B2C business with a very small cost-of-customer acquisition, then it is more realistic to expect a 1:1 ROAS.

What is the Best Strategy to Increase Organic Traffic to a Website?

With the new algorithm change, upping the price of PPC, organic traffic seems even more appealing! To get the best results, it is best to avoid fluff with your content! Don’t take the lazy and simple route and play it safe with average content posted 5-6 times per week by your millennial niece or nephew who does social media, look forward to our blog about that topic soon! Stay relevant, interesting and engaging! Post content that is bite sized and easy for the reader to consume frequently. The average internet attention span is only 2-3 minutes. Be sure to post content that provides value to your audience. Educate them first with your content, then slip in the cheap engagement ‘meme-type’ posts.
